NHER 65784 (Cropmark and Earthwork record) - Possible site of a Bronze Age round barrow

The cropmarks of a possible Bronze Age ring ditch are seen on aerial photographs (S1-S2). The ring ditch may relate to the site of a Bronze Age round barrow. A possible pit can be seen approximately in the centre of the ring ditch. It is possible that the pit feature may relate to a burial. The ring ditch and pit are only seen faintly on the aerial photographs and are situated in amongst an area of geological cropmarks. It is therefore possible that the features may be natural rather than archaeological in origin. The ring ditch may form part of a Bronze Age barrow cemetery (NHER 66789) along with the cropmarks of further probable Bronze Age ring ditches recorded in the vicinity.
