Map

July 2022. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
The cropmarks of a possible trackway of an uncertain date are seen on aerial photographs (S1). It is possible that the trackway may date to the Iron Age to Roman period. Equally, a medieval to post medieval date is possible. The trackway is in close proximity to the cropmarks of probable medieval to post medieval field boundaries (NHER 65643). The cropmarks of a possible medieval to post medieval field boundary (NHER 65643) can be seen crossing the trackway. The relationship between the possible field boundary and the trackway is unknown. It is also possible that the parallel linear features may relate to former field boundaries rather than a trackway.
