Map

March 2022. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
The cropmarks of a possible post medieval rectilinear pit are seen on aerial photographs (S1-S2). The pit may have related to a post medieval extraction pit. The pit is also situated in close proximity to a building mapped on the historic maps (S3-S5). It also is possible that the pit may have been associated with the post medieval building. A dense area of geological cropmarks can be seen across the area. It is therefore possible that the pit feature may be geological rather than archaeological in origin.
