Summary

Trial trenching at this site 2023 recorded only a single north-north-west to south-south-west aligned ditch that corresponds with a former field boundary depicted on 19th-century maps.

Evaluation of proposed development site.
The sixteen trenches excavated revealed no archaeologically-significant remains. The only feature recorded was a north-north-west to south-south-east aligned ditch in the western half of the site that appears to correspond with a former field boundary depicted on the Watlington tithe map (S1).
No finds were recovered.
