NHER 67150 (Negative evidence record) - Site where groundworks revealed no archaeologically-significant remains

Little of potential archaeologically-significant was noted during the excavation of two new channels within Dudwick Park and the creation of two new flood banks. Unfortunately these groundworks didn't take place under archaeological supervision as planned, although those undertaking the work had received some limited training in the identification of archaeological remains.
The only feature of note was a brick culvert running roughly north to south, adjacent to an infilled dyke at TG 2243 2207. The northern headwall of the culvert was exposed during the excavation of one of the new drainage channels. This had probably been constructed as part of the drainage system for Dudwick Park in the 18th or 19th century.
No finds were recovered.
