Summary

Linear ditches of unknown date are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. They do not conform to the pattern of enclosure depicted on 19th century maps, and it is probable that they are field boundaries of medieval or earlier date.

Linear ditches of unknown date are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1-S2). They do not conform to the pattern of enclosure depicted on 19th century maps, such as the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch (S3), and it is probable that they are field boundaries of medieval or earlier date.
