Summary

A possible D-shaped enclosure, of unknown but probable prehistoric date, is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. The cropmark is not particularly clear, and could be of geological rather than archaeological origin. Equally, it lies approximately 260m north of the Roman town of Brampton (NHER 66780) and even if it is an archaeological feature, rather than being prehistoric it could be an outlying element of the Roman town.
