Map

2007-2010. Casual Observation.
The fragmentary remains of a brick structure were noted at this location on several occasions between 2007 and 2010 by staff working for Broadland Environmental Services Ltd. The Ordnance Survey First Edition Six-inch map (S1) suggests that this structure lay at the point where the old floodbank on the left bank of the River Yare was met by a pre-exisiting north-west to south-east aligned drainage channel. An inlet from the river is shown at this point, making it highly likely that the brick structure was associated with a culvert running under the floodbank.
See report (S2) for further details (including photographs).
