Summary

Metal-detecting at this location in 2023 recovered six silver post-medieval coins likely to represent elements of a scattered hoard. The date and condition of the coins suggest the hoard was probably deposited in the late 1660s or 1670s.

Found scattered over an area:
6 post-medieval coins. These coins are all larger silver denominations and likely to represent elements of a hoard dispersed by agricultural activity. The latest coin dates to 1663 and it is suggested the hoard was probably deposited during the late 1660s or 1670s.

These coins were disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2023 T1171) and returned to the finder.
