Summary

A watching brief maintained during the construction of three new residential dwellings at this location in 2017 recorded no archaeologically-significant features or deposits. There was evidence for considerable recent disturbance.

September-November 2017. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of groundworks associated with construction of three new residential dwellings.
The three groups of foundation trenches excavated revealed no archaeologically-significant features or deposits.
There was evidence for considerable recent disturbance, with natural geological deposits overlain by a very mixed soil containing patches of deposited chalk and sand.
No finds were recovered.
