Full Description
August 2023. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
A probable post medieval field boundary is visible as a low earthwork on visualised lidar data (S1). This date is suggested because it fits the pattern of enclosure depicted on 19th century maps (such as the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch, S2). Its western end may correspond with part of a field boundary depicted on Hoe Enclosure map (S3). As the lidar survey was flown quite recently (2017), it is likely that the earthwork still survives.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 10 August 2023.
