Summary

A possible curvilinear enclosure of unknown date is visible as fragmentary cropmarks on aerial photographs. The site lies on the eastern fringes of an extensive area of cropmarks relating to Brampton Roman town (NHER 66780), but their character and orientation suggests that they may date to a different phase of activity.

A possible curvilinear enclosure of unknown date is visible as fragmentary cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1). The site lies on the eastern fringes of an extensive area of cropmarks relating to Brampton Roman town (NHER 66780), but their character and orientation suggests that they may date to a different phase of activity. At the same time, it is not certain that all the mapped features relate to the same site or are contemporary with each other.
