Full Description
January 2022. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Cropmarks of a probable Bronze Age ring ditch are seen on aerial photographs (S1-S2). The ring ditch most likely relates to the remains of a former Bronze Age round barrow. It is also possible that the ring ditch may relate to an Iron Age to Roman circular enclosure. The feature is in amongst an area of multi-phase boundaries and enclosures. The ring ditch is also in close relation to further ring ditch to the North East (NHER 64305).
This feature was previously recorded as part of NHER 6095.
J. Powell (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 14 January 2022.
