Map

June 2023. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
A possible former post medieval flood bank and drainage ditches are seen as earthworks (since levelled) on aerial photographs (S1). The feature consists of a wide bank feature with associated ditches on the features north and south sides. The bank may have related to a post medieval flood bank. The ditch features most likely relate to post medieval drainage ditches. The features can be seen as earthworks on S1 and appear to have been levelled by the 1970s (S2). The probable drainage ditches can be seen as cropmarks on recent (2006) aerial photography. The features are not recorded on the readily available historic maps (S4-S6).
