Map

June 2023. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Field boundaries, probably of a medieval to post medieval date, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1-S2). They are not depicted on any readily accessible historical maps (such as the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch map), but fit the same general pattern of enclosure, suggesting that although an earlier origin cannot be ruled out, they are generally of post-medieval date.
