Map

Pre 1951. Stray Find.
Objects found "north of Abbey Farm House" and seen by R. R. Clarke [1] in 1951. These included:
1 bone tool (possibly for pottery decoration).
1 spindle whorl of red pottery.
1 baked clay object resembling a sling shot bullet.
1 clay cup with coarse decoration initially identified as a Middle Bronze Age 'incense cup'. This object was donated to the King's Lynn Museum in 1958 when its examined by the Geological Survey and its material identified as cement, which would make it a modern object. It could not be identified in the museum's current records suggesting it may have been discarded.
Information from record cards (S1), which have sketches of all four objects.
Previously recorded under NHER 4255.
P. Watkins (HES), 9 August 2018. Amended 1 September 2023.
