Summary

A World War One memorial with World War Two additions commemorating the servicemen of Aldeby. The memorial is in the form of a wheel-head cross made of grey granite. It was proposed by the parish council in 1919 and constructed around 1920.

Location: St Mary’s Churchyard, St Mary’s Road, Aldeby
Type: Wheel-head Cross
Description: The memorial is in the form of a wheel-head cross constructed of roughly hewn grey granite. It sits on a plinth on top of a two-step base. The inscriptions are written in lead lettering on the front face of the plinth.
