Summary

A World War One memorial with World War Two Additions in the form on an obelisk made of red granite, constructed around 1920. It commemorates the fallen of the parish of Methwold. Repair work was undertaken in 2014.

Location: Methwold Cemetery, Stoke Road, Methwold
Type: Obelisk
Description: A memorial commemorating the servicemen of Methwold parish in the form of an obelisk made of red granite. It stands on a square tapering plinth on top of a two-stepped square base. The inscription for the WW1 fallen is on the front face of the plinth, with names listed on the remaining faces. The front face of the first step of the base holds the WW2 inscription, with names inscribed on the remaining faces of the top step.

2014. Repairs.
Repairs were undertaken, funded by the War Memorials Trust. Repairs included cleaning, repointing cracks, and repainting of the inscription lettering.
