Summary

A World War One memorial with World War Two additions commemorating the fallen servicemen of Crostwick and Beeston St Andrew. The memorial is in the form of a wheel-head cross made of grey granite. It was constructed around 1920.

Description: The memorial is in the form of a wheel-head cross made of grey granite. The cross stands on a plinth on top of a single-step base. The inscriptions are placed on the smooth front face of the plinth.

Unveiled: Assumed planned and erected around 1920, when the majority of Norfolk’s war memorials were commissioned. Additional research required.
Inscription: TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THE/ PARISHES/ OF CROSTWICK AND BEESTON ST ANDREW/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 –1918/ (NAMES)/ 1939 – 1945/ (NAMES).
