Summary

A World War One memorial with World War Two additions commemorating the fallen servicemen of Cranworth, Letton, and Southburgh. The memorial is in the form of a sculpture of an angel made of limestone. It was constructed around 1920.

Location: St Mary’s Churchyard, Shipdam Road, Cranworth
Type: Winged Angel
Description: The memorial is in the form of a winged angel with draping robes made of limestone. Her right hand points upwards and her left hand holds a trumpet by her waist. It stands atop a pillar with marble panels on the four sides on top of a three-step base. The inscriptions are placed on the marble panels.
