Summary

A World War One memorial with World War Two additions commemorating the servicemen of the parish of Gooderstone. The memorial is in the form of a Latin cross made of Portland stone. It was constructed around 1920.

Location: Churchyard, St George’s Church, The Street, Gooderstone
Type: Latin cross
Description: The memorial is in the form of a Latin cross made of Portland stone. The cross is octagonal in section and faces east. It is placed on top of a pier; the pier is built into the churchyard wall and has moulded corners. The inscription is placed on the south face of the pier with the WW2 names added just below.
