Summary

A World War One memorial with World War Two additions commemorating servicemen from the parishes of Burgh and Billockby. The memorial is in the form of a wheel-head cross made of stone. It was unveiled on 10 December 1922.

Location: St Margaret’s Churchyard, Main Road, Fleggburgh (Burgh St Margaret’s)
Type: Wheel-head Cross
Description: The memorial is in the form of a wheel-head cross made of stone. Part of the churchyard wall has been removed and concrete steps put in place which lead to the foot of the memorial. The cross sits on a tapering plinth of on top of a base. The whole cross is placed in an alcove set back from the churchyard wall. The original inscription is placed on the low wall at the back of the cross with the names of the front face of the plinth, along with the additional WW2 names.
