Summary

A World War One memorial with World War Two additions commemorating the servicemen of Sutton. The memorial is in the form of a wheel-head cross made of granite. It was constructed around 1920.

Location: St Michael’s Churchyard, Church Road, Sutton
Type: Wheel-head Cross
Description: The memorial is in the form of a wheel-head cross made of granite. There is a carved relief of a Sword of Sacrifice pointing downwards on the front face of the cross. The cross is placed on a round-topped plinth on top of a two-step base. The inscriptions are placed on the plinth faces.
