Summary

A World War One memorial with World War Two additions commemorating the servicemen of Thetford. The memorial is in the form of a foliated cross made of Balmoral granite. The memorial was unveiled in December 1921.

Location: Market Place, Thetford
Type: Foliated Cross
Description: The memorial is in the form of a foliated cross made of Balmoral granite. The cross has an octagonal shaft with a collar and a moulded base. The cross stands on an octagonal plinth on top of a three-tier base. The original inscription is placed on the front face of the plinth along with the Seal of Thetford. The WW1 names are on the remaining faces with the WW2 additions on the back face of the plinth and base.
