Map

September 2023. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
The earthworks of a possible post medieval field boundary are seen on aerial photographs (S1). The feature consists of an earthwork ditch which may relate to a former post medieval field boundary. However, it is also possible that the feature may have related to a former post medieval drainage ditch. A broad earthwork bank is visible immediately to the south of the ditch (centred at approximately TF 9279 0921). It is uncertain as to whether the bank feature may relate to a boundary bank or a natural feature. Therefore, the bank has been mapped by extent. The features can be seen as earthworks on S1 and are presumed to have been levelled as they are not visible on the recent (2017) visualised lidar data (S2). The features are also not visible on readily available historic maps such as S3 and S4.
