Summary

In 2023 a concentration of burnt flints was noted at this location. These were eroding from dry ground adjacent to a path and potentially represent the remains of a prehistoric 'burnt mound' (an accumulation of material that had been used to heat or boil water) - particularly as they lie close to a small pond.
