Map

November 2023. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
A section of a probable post medieval parish boundary ditch is seen as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1). The feature follows the alignment of the boundary between the modern parishes of Necton and Fransham (previously Little Fransham). The alignment of the parish boundary is depicted on the readily available historic maps (S2-S4). The boundary ditch is likely to be post medieval in date. However, an earlier medieval date cannot be ruled out. The probable parish boundary ditch may cut or be cut by a possible post medieval field boundary (NHER 67773). The relationship between the features is unknown.
