Map

The cropmarks of a possible post medieval field boundary are seen on aerial photographs (S1). The feature is not depicted on any readily accessible historical maps (such as the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch map(S2)), but fits the same general pattern of enclosure, suggesting that although an earlier origin cannot be ruled out, the feature is likely of a post-medieval date. The possible post medieval field boundary may cut or be cut by a probable medieval to post medieval parish boundary ditch (NHER 67772). The relationship between these features is unknown. Although the possible field boundary is likely to be arachnological in origin, it is possible that the feature may be a product of modern agriculture.
