Summary

Fieldwalking at this location in 2020-2023 recovered a number of prehistoric worked flint artefacts, included at least two Lower Palaeolithic handaxes, a Mesolithic/Neolithic adze and several Neolithic implements. Two Neolithic flint blades were also recovered, one of which had been struck from a broken polished axehead.
