Map

January 2024. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
A pit of an unknown, but possible post medieval date, can be seen as an earthwork (since levelled) on aerial photographs (S1). The pit may relate to a former extraction pit, possibly dating to the post medieval period. It is however possible that the feature may be natural in origin. The feature can be seen as a very low earthwork on the 1946 aerial photographs (S1). The feature is presumed to have been levelled as the pit is not visible on the relatively recent (2017) visualised lidar data (S2).
