A possible ring ditch, visible as a faint cropmark on aerial photographs (S1), may be the site of a Bronze Age round barrow. It forms the southernmost element of a group of such features clustered in this area, recorded as barrow cemetery NHER 49686. It is possible that the site corresponds with a mound visible on visualised lidar data, from a survey flown in 2017-18 (S2), but the area has been disturbed by the excavation of later pits, and the raised area could relate to this activity instead.
