Full Description
January 2024. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project (volunteer strand).
Post medieval field boundaries, in an area that was formerly part of Quebec Park (NHER 33468), are visible as earthworks on visualised lidar data, from a survey flown in 2017 (S1). They presumably went out of use when the park was expanded to the west of Quebec Road in the 19th century, although some elements correspond with features depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map (S2). The field boundaries are similar in character to another group of probably medieval to post medieval field boundaries recorded to the immediate southwest (NHER 50701).
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 19 January 2024.
