29 Market Place. Previously recorded under NHER 34718.
January 1973. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description excerpt:
"House, now shop. Early 17th century, altered and converted [in] late 19th century to shop. Flint with brick dressings, the facade rendered and colourwashed. Pantile roof. Exterior: two storeys; two-window range...Internal gable-end stack to east. East gable wall of early 17th century: flint with brick dresssings and brick diaper patterning. 20th-century extensions to rear. Interior: first floor not inspected but ground floor has no features of special interest. Part of a very significant group in the Market Place and included for group value."

[Nos 25, 27 and 29 originally an] early 17th-century house altered 19th century converted to shops. Flint and brick, rendered. YT plan. Internal gable stack to east. Rear wing with east doorway with label stops. 19th-century windows. Reset datestone 1655. Interior has tongue and runout stops. Ground floor east room with two wave moulded bridging beams with runbout stops. Rear wing roof of upper crucks.
