Summary

Built in around 1730 this was one of two houses converted to a school between the late 19th century and early 20th century (the other being 18 Market Place to the north - see NHER 34716). This two storey and dormer attic building is built of flint and brick and has a red brick façade and pantiled roof. There is a two-storey and attic rear cross wing, to which a library was added in around 1950. The interior is much altered and now continuous with 18 Market Place. 18th-century wine bins survive in the cellar.
