A Second World War sewage works, formerly associated with Wendling Airfield (NHER 7275), is seen as an extant structure on aerial photographs (S1-S7). The site is situated in close proximity to a large area of accommodation huts and support structures (NHER 68043) also associated with the airfield. The sewage works appears to continue in use after the closure of the airfield and is still in use on more recent (2022) aerial photographs (S7).
