Map

February 2024. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Probable medieval to post medieval field boundaries are visible as soilmarks on an aerial photograph (S1). To the east, more regular, rectilinear soilmarks correspond with field boundaries depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch map (S2); these have not been mapped by the project. To the west other soilmarks, which have been mapped, are much broader and less regular in plan, and these perhaps date to an earlier phase of enclosure.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 27 February 2024.
