Summary

A Second World War practice trench is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs. An adjacent arrangement of rectilinear banks (or possibly fences) may also relate to Second World War military activity. More recent aerial photographs from 2022 and visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2017 show that the earthworks have been levelled. A Second World War type 22 pillbox stood approximately 25m to the southwest of the site (NHER 29153), but this too has been removed.
