Full Description
March 2024. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
The earthworks of a probable post medieval to modern garden or parkland feature is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). The feature is not visible on visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2017 (S3) and have presumably been levelled. The feature may relate to a former plant bed, tree ring or an ornamental feature associated with Lexham Hall (NHER 4089) and park (NHER 30469). The feature most likey dates to the post medieval period. However, a modern date for the feature cannot be ruled out.
J. Powell (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 12 March 2024.
