Full Description
June 2022-November 2023. Metal-detecting. [1].
Roman coin hoard of 16 silver denarii covering the period from the Roman Republic through to the emperor Marcus Aurelius (57BC to 176AD). The wear patterns on these coins are consistent with them being part of the same hoard or purse loss. The would have gone into the ground at some time during or after 175 AD (the earliest date of the latest coin).
