Summary

A geophysical survey of this site in 2020 identified no potentially archaeologically-significant anomalies. There was therefore no evidence for surviving sub-surface remains associated with a number of fragmentary linear cropmarks visible at this location on aerial photographs (part of an extensive group recorded under NHER 39859).

Magnetometer survey of proposed aggregate extraction area.
This survey identified no potentially archaeologically-significant responses. Although a number of parallel linear anomalies were recorded these are likely to be the result of recent cultivation.
There was therefore no evidence for surviving sub-surface remains associated with a number of fragmentary linear cropmarks visible at this location on aerial photographs (part of an extensive group recorded under NHER 39859).
