The cropmarks of a probable post medieval metalled trackway or road are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S5). The trackway is most likely post medieval in date, although, a medieval date for the feature cannot be ruled out. Further cropmark sections of the trackway (NHER 66923) have been recorded approximately 750m to the southeast. Additional elements of the trackway (not mapped) appear to have been solidified into the post medieval and modern field boundaries and tracks (recorded on S6-S8 and visible on S2) to the west (centred at approximately TF 8628 1078) and southeast (centred at approximately TF 8664 1059).
