Map

A structure labelled 'Draining Pump' is shown at this location on the Ordnance Survey First Edition Six-inch map of 1884 (S1). It is clear from later mapping that it had fallen out of use by the mid 20th century (being marked as 'disused'). The more detailed 25-inch maps show a main circular structure with an adjoining rectangular structure or platform. A similar pair of features are marked on the modern Ordnance Survey mapping, suggesting that much of this structure may still survive.
