Summary

Faint circular cropmarks visible on recent aerial imagery of this location potentially represent a series of three concentric ring-ditches. If indeed genuine features it is possibly they are the remains of a Bronze Age pond barrow, particularly as a ring-ditch likely to represent a barrow lies immediately to the west (NHER 68476) and two further examples have previously been identified approximately 250m to the north (NHER 36107).

Faint cropmarks of what are potentially three concentric ring-ditches are visible on recent aerial imagery (S1). Although largely obscured by geological cropmarks (and only really discernible once the brightness and contrast of the image are corrected) these cropmark are nevertheless sufficiently regular to potentially represent archaeologically-significant remains. These possible ring-ditches have diameters of c.40m, c. 31m and c. 13m. If indeed genuine features it is possible they represent the remains of a pond barrow, particular as a ring-ditch likely to represent a barrow is visible on the same imagery immediately to the west (NHER 68476) and a further two have previously been identified approximately 250m to the north (NHER 36107).
