Map

September-October 2015. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of groundworks associated with installation of new electrical cable (Area 2).
The portion of the cable route in this field was of archaeological interest as it would coincide with the probable line of a Roman road (NHER 1791). However, it appears the cable was actually directionally-drilled under the line of the Roman road. No archaeologically-significant features or deposits were noted during the stripping of a section of the easement to the east of the road.
See report (S1) for further details.
An archive associated with this work has been deposited with Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2019.234).
