Full Description
June-October 2016. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of groundworks associated with construction of kitchen extension on north-east face of hexagonal church hall.
The reduction of the footprint of the extension itself revealed only a probable natural feature and a modern service. Excavations for a nearby soakaway and associated drainage also revealed nothing of archaeological interest.
No unstratified finds were recovered.
See report (S1) for further details.
