Map

A hexagonal structure shown on the modern Ordnance Survey mapping at this location is probably a previously unrecorded World War Two Type 22 pillbox. It lies within a strip of overgrown waste ground that runs along the boundary between the garden of 46 Holmesdale Road and the large arable field to the west.
Recent aerial imagery such as (S1) shows it to be a flat-roofed structure.
