Map

December 2024. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Rectilinear enclosures, of probable medieval to post medieval date, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 (S1). The size of the enclosures suggests they may have been paddocks or similar. Other earthworks visible in the surrounding area on the same aerial photographs appear to relate to drainage and have not been mapped. It is clear from more recent aerial photographs (such as S2) that the earthworks have been levelled.
