Summary

Trial trenching at this site in 2013 revealed no archaeologically-signfiicant remains. A small number of medieval pottery sherds were recovered from a possible buried soil layer encountered beneath the subsoil.

Evaluation of proposed development site.
The two trenches excavated revealed no archaeologically-significant features.
In one trench the natural clay was overlain by a possible buried soil layer. A small number of abraded medieval pottery sherds were recovered from this deposit.
