Full Description
February 2025. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Cropmark sections of ditch which may relate to a boundary ditch of an unknown date are visible on aerial photographs (S2). The sections of ditch also follow the approximate alignment of an earthwork bank visible on the relatively recent (2017) visualised lidar data (S1). The bank feature is likely to be natural in origin, although the possibility that the bank feature could be archaeological or that the ditch could be natural in origin cannot be ruled out. As it is uncertain as to whether the bank is archaeological in origin, the feature has been mapped by extent.
