Summary

Metal-detecting at this location in 2020 recovered a probable 17th-century coin hoard or purse loss comprising two shillings and a halfcrown of Charles I. These coins were most likely lost or deposited at some point after the Civil War.

Probable post-medieval coin hoard comprising two shillings and a halfcrown of Charles I. These three coins are likely to represent a small hoard that was deposited or lost at some point after 1643. Their worn condition suggests they most likely went into the ground after the Civil War, during the Commonwealth, or (more likely) the Restoration period.

These coins were returned to the finder after being disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2021 T837).
